JVS TRANSMSEDIA STORYTELLING ART PROJECT: HOW CHILDREN CREATE THEIR STORIES

Actually, kids can get as many information as they want throughout books, magazzines, radio, T.V. and of course, throughout Internet.

In Jules Verne School, we work inlcuding multimedia, so we have a new mission: to investigate about Middle Age's Art.

Kids will assign different Middle Age's periods to figure out how was Art. For Art we mean music, dance, literature, visual arts and drama.

The age we will investigate include the Celtics, Saxon & Hiberno (200 - 732 AD), Byzantine Art (400 - 1453 AD), Justinian (527 - 565 AD), Islamic Art (622 - 900 AD), Carolingian Art (732 - 900 AD), Ottonian Art (900 - 1050 AD), Romanesque Style (1000 - 1140 AD), and Gothic Style (1140 - 1500 AD).

After a few days, kids found that Middle Ages come after the Roman Empire, and all subperiods share religious content. Here are some images.

After this research, children created little stories as comics about Middle Ages. The objective of this project is to get a great stroy and become it into an assembly for next May 10th, because we celebrate Mother's Day.
